EVENT OVERVIEW
The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation Golf Classic is our longest running fundraising event. In its 29th year, this event was implemented by the late Jerry Kiernan. A dear friend to the organization, Jerry created a small golf outing to raise money to support the research being done by his physician and other doctors who believed then, and still believe now, that we can enhance longevity and the quality of life for millions through improved cardiovascular health. Over the years, the event has offered access to an exclusive golf course, great raffle prizes, a wide array of silent auction items and a physician speaker to give insight into the work being done at MHIF. We hope you will join us, whether it is for the first or the 29th time, to experience the excitement and joy that is the Golf Classic.
We are happy to announce the speaker at the 2010 Golf Classic will be Dr. Timothy D. Henry.
Timothy Henry, MD, FACC, director of research at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, is an interventional cardiologist at the Minneapolis Heart Institute®/Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Professor of Medicine at University of Minnesota School of Medicine. His research interests include interventional cardiology, acute myocardial infarction, and novel therapies, including stem cell and gene therapy, for patients who are not candidates for standard revascularization techniques.
The 2010 Golf Classic is a four-person best-ball event. Your 18-hole estimated score or GHIN# is recommended for team and tee-off placement.
